The Kitchen – An 1800’s carriage house sets the stage for this classic kitchen remodel. Discerning cooks who often entertain, the homeowners wanted to honor the architecture of their historic home while incorporating quality, state-of-the-art appliances and modern-day conveniences. A 1990’s addition had covered the room’s original stone walls. Once exposed and repointed, the stone now serves as the kitchen’s backsplash and offers our clients the charm they desired while also providing twelve additional inches of width to the kitchen. Above the matte black professional range hangs an antique fireback. Hand-pegged, hand-planed custom cabinetry is scribed to the stone walls with precision and distressed soapstone counters provide warmth and character.

The Butler’s Bar – The dining room adjacent to the kitchen was turned into a bar area and butler’s pantry offering an ideal space for entertaining family and friends, as well as a study area for the family. The small room features antique, heart-pine countertops, beadboard backsplash, and cabinetry backs as well as space for additional appliances. Our clients are thrilled with their new ‘old’ kitchen!
